Remembering Marge

May 9, 2010

Marge was my lovely great grandmother who recently passed away at the age of 90 years old.

She lived a long, amazing life, and this is a post for her family members to collect their respective memories of this amazing woman.

One of my favorite photos of Marge:

I still hear Marge giggling when Willy tickled her.

I have so much respect for Marge. We definitely had our differences (Marge a republican, I, a democrat for example). However, I always felt like she had an open mind to listen to whatever we were talking about and engage in intelligent conversation. I admired how she didn’t just listen to others and did the research herself and made up her mind based on intelligent and rational reasoning. I admire and respect Marge, and miss her dearly.

I have always thought of Aunt Marge as a great example of a strong person. She was such a great housekeeper, and did such beautiful paintings! We had one of her landscapes in our living room during all the years I ws growing up.I think my mom always wanted to copy her organizing skills, but never could. I have a daughter that inherited them, and another that has her creative flair.
I am sure going to miss knowing that she was there in the desert, but I know that now she’s with all the family that has gone before. It must have been a great reunion!
